This exquisite pair of 19th-century French Limoges porcelain urns captures all the elegance of the Old Paris style. Each urn features sculptural swan-form handles, a vivid turquoise ground, and lavish gilt detailing, all crowned with the original lid and finial.
The front cartouches are beautifully hand-painted with vibrant floral bouquets — roses, tulips, pansies, and daisies — signed by the decorator and framed in ornate gilt scrollwork. The reverse displays gilt tracery against the turquoise ground, offering beauty from every angle.
The bases are marked G&C, attributed to Giraud & Cie, Limoges, France (c. 1875–1895).
Condition: The decorative urns are in excellent antique condition with only minor wear consistent with age. No chips, cracks, or restorations noted. Colors remain vibrant and gilt retains its luster.
Measurements (each urn):
- Height (with lid): 14.50 inches
- Width (handle to handle): 6.50 inches
- Square base: 3.50 inches
A rare pair that brings opulence and refined French style to mantels, consoles, or sideboards. Perfect for collectors of Limoges, Old Paris, and fine Continental porcelain.
