ANTIQUE T&V LIMOGES CAT CREAMER AND SAUCER – TURQUOISE AND GOLD FRENCH PORCELAIN
DESCRIPTION
A wonderfully rare antique Limoges creamer and matching saucer, finished in luminous turquoise blue and richly decorated with whimsical gilt cats gathered around bowls.
Produced by Tressemanes & Vogt in Limoges, France, this remarkable porcelain set dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The playful cat motif is repeated around both the rounded creamer and coordinating saucer, creating a distinctive collector’s piece that feels elegant, artistic, and delightfully unexpected.
The creamer features a graceful flared spout, sculptural loop handle, white porcelain interior, and generous gold detailing. Its matching saucer continues the turquoise-and-gold design with a procession of stylized cats arranged around the border. Subtle variations within the gilding reflect the hand-decorated character and considerable age of the set.
This antique French porcelain set would be beautiful displayed in a china cabinet, styled on a vanity or drinks table, or incorporated into an eclectic tabletop vignette. It is especially appealing for collectors of antique Limoges porcelain, cat-themed decor, Art Nouveau design, and unusual conversation pieces.
