Here is a stunning vintage decorative wall plate crafted in solid brass, circa mid-20th century. The piece measures 13.50 inches in diameter and stands about 1 inch deep at its highest relief. It features a high-relief floral-mandala central medallion surrounded by a scalloped “petal” rim, all beautifully hand-tooled with intricate detail. The warm aged brass patina glows softly, and while there is some surface tarnish (as shown) it buff-polishes nicely, letting the tooling really pop.
A hanging D-ring is affixed on the back, so the piece is ready for wall display. The reverse shows traces of old backing paint/residue, indicating export decorative use and giving the plate authentic patina and character.
ORIGIN + ERA: While no maker’s mark is evident, the style and technique closely resemble Indian export brassware from the 1950s-70s — though North African or Moroccan origin cannot be fully ruled out. For accuracy, this listing uses “Likely India / Indian export metalware, mid-20th century.”
