The Story

A beautifully tailored piece of English entertaining ware, this vintage Crown Staffordshire Blackstone pedestal cake stand pairs classic fine bone china with striking black-and-gold decoration.

The Blackstone pattern feels remarkably sophisticated today. Against luminous white bone china, delicate black scalloped borders frame a stylized botanical motif touched in gleaming gold. The dramatic scalloped rim is finished with a generous band of gold, while molded radiating flutes create movement across the surface.

Even the pedestal was thoughtfully designed. Its fluted, scalloped form echoes the upper plate, giving the entire piece a graceful architectural silhouette from every angle.
