A beautiful set of five hand painted Nippon bread and butter plates crafted by the Morimura Brothers, the early makers behind Noritake. These plates feature the sought-after green M-in-wreath Nippon backstamp used between 1911 and 1921. Each plate is decorated with raised enamel florals, soft pastel banding, and gilt details along the rim and inner circle.
At 6.25 inches, these plates are the classic size for bread and butter plates, but they also function perfectly as tea plates, small dessert plates, or side plates. The refined hand-painted design displays exceptionally well and brings early 20th-century Japanese craftsmanship into any table setting or décor vignette.
