VINTAGE CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERY KOI FISH PANELS – FRAMED IN GOLD BAMBOO FRAMES
These exquisite vintage silk appliqué panels feature koi fish and lotus motifs — traditional Chinese symbols of prosperity, perseverance, and harmony. Each panel is crafted from hand-cut silk and satin pieces delicately stitched to black silk, bordered with patterned brocade, and mounted within gold faux-bamboo frames.
The intricate layers of textile, along with the patterned silk matting, create a dimensional look reminiscent of mid-century export art pieces produced for the Hong Kong and Canton (Guangzhou) markets.
One koi shows minor age-related wrinkling and wear consistent with pre-framing handling, adding to the authenticity and antique charm of the set.
