Add a touch of pure mid-century magic to your holiday décor with this charming trio of Holt-Howard feather angels, made in Japan circa 1958–1962.
Each angel features a hand-painted ceramic head with sweet vintage expression, soft ivory feather gown, and shimmering gold-trim mesh wings. One holds a silver lyre, one a songbook, and one sings with joyful serenity — a perfect little choir of nostalgia and charm.
The original HH / Japan foil label remains on the base, confirming these as authentic Holt-Howard imports from the golden age of mid-century Christmas collectibles.
Maker: Holt-Howard (HH Japan)
Era: Late 1950s to early 1960s
Material: Hard-plastic or chalkware heads, real feathers, mesh wings, cardboard bases
Finish: Hand-painted faces with rosy cheeks and red lips
Measurements:
Height: 7.5 inches
Diameter of skirt: 7 inches
Weight (set): Approximately 10 oz total
Mark: Red “HH Japan” foil label on base
Set of: 3 feather angels (complete choir)
Excellent vintage condition with gentle, age-appropriate wear:
One angel has a fine hairline crack on her cheek (stable and unobtrusive).
Slight toning on mesh wings and minor wear to the silver lyre.
Feathers are full and fluffy with light natural patina.
All three stand beautifully — display-ready and full of 1950s charm.
Perfect for:
A mid-century modern holiday mantel
Vintage Christmas vignettes with mercury glass and bottle-brush trees
A collector’s display of Holt-Howard, Napco, or Lefton angels
Adding nostalgic sparkle to your bar cart or buffet
