This beautiful antique porcelain biscuit jar is richly decorated with raised relief florals in deep cobalt blue accented by hand-applied gold gilt. The domed lid with its stem-like finial completes the jar’s elegant Victorian silhouette.
Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (c. 1890–1910), this jar was likely produced by one of the German/Bohemian porcelain houses such as Rudolstadt or Carl Tielsch, both known for their cobalt and gilt relief wares. Unmarked examples like this one were often made for export to the American market.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Light, age-appropriate wear to gilt, no chips or cracks.

STYLING NOTES
Perfect as a decorative accent in a china cabinet, on a dining room sideboard, or styled with other blue-and-white porcelain. Its floral gilt design catches the light beautifully, making it a standout in Victorian, Edwardian, or Eclectic Whimsy interiors.
