Bring a touch of timeless glamour to your space with this vintage ivory and gold ceramic peacock vase, a mid-century treasure that embodies the refined allure of Hollywood Regency décor. The sculptural peacock spreads its tail in full display, every feather detailed with hand-applied gilded highlights that shimmer softly in the light.

Its substantial ceramic form and stylized Art Deco lines make it perfect for displaying florals, holding mail or utensils, or simply standing as a bold statement piece on a mantel, vanity, or console table.

Stamped P198 on the underside, this design was produced circa 1950s–1960s, most likely by a California or Japanese pottery house that specialized in glamorous giftware for the postwar home. The bottom has green felt pads, suggesting it was originally sold as a tabletop decorative accent.

CONDITION:

Good vintage condition. Some light wear to the gold gilt, small glaze skips, and minor age discoloration at the base — all consistent with its age and giving it a gentle patina. No cracks or structural damage.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Height – 9 ½ inches
  • Width – 7 ¾ inches
  • Depth – 3 inches
  • Weight – approximately 2.8 pounds

STYLE NOTES:

Pairs beautifully with other ivory and gilt ceramics, vintage mirrors, or rattan furniture for that Eclectic Whimsy vibe — chic, curated, and full of personality.
